83 lincoln mark 6 will not restart after it warms up???

83 lincoln mark 6, 5.0 auto trans, 123000 miles, I can go out in the AM turn the key and it will start right up," BUT" after it runs awhile and is warm, if I turn it off it will not start until it cools off, it has the in tank fuel pump and I just changed that, also when you first restart it, it acts as if it is flooded, runs like crap smoke and holding it to the floor it only reeves up maybe half, not as if you have it pushed to the floor,? I know 83, but this is a restore, Thanks so much.
