4 wheel drive

I have a 2002 chevy trailblazer, my battery died yesterday so i replaced it. I have 4 wheel shift on the fly dial with 4 lights but none of the lights are on and my suv is stuck in 2 wheel drive. I was wondering if replaceing the battery has anything to do with it and to i have to reset the computer in my suv.

It’s not likely that by just replacing the battery would have an affect on the system but with today’s electronics you never know? I haven’t read anything about resetting anything for the 4X4 during a battery change?
There may have been a voltage spike (boosting from another vehicle?) of some sort and burnt out a fuse or worse case, one of the modules.
I would begin by checking all the fuses that deal with the system.
You’ll find two of them in the underhood power distribution box (fuse box).
One will be marked IGN E and is a 10amp fuse; if this fuse were burnt, there would be other accessories also not working. It has or should have power on it, with the ignition switch in the run position.
Another will be marked ATC (automatice transfer case) and it’s a 25amp; it protects a couple of circuits; the battery power feed to the transfer case shift control module (under left side of dash) and the transfer case lock solenoid, in the shift motor module at the transfer case.
The last fuse is in the rear fuse box, under the left rear seat; it’s a 15 amp fuse marked 4WD; it’ll also have power with the ignition in the run position. It protects the transfer case control switch circuit (the one on the dash) and the front axle actuator.
Have a look and let us know what you’ve found; actually don’t just look at them; test them with a voltmeter or test light.
