Does that mean something ? Sign In 2000 Ford Windstar SEL 3.8 Engine 159359 Mileage I changed my plugs today before the big rain came. I put the old wires back on as I was changing them. I was going to do the wires last to keep better track of not getting them mixed up. The rain came and stopped me. I came in and looked at the wires and I have 4 black boots and 2 gray. I read the directions and it says nothing about the gray. They are the shortest wires. Is there something I need to know about them before I get them in the wrong place? Sign In The only thing that matters is the length of the wire and the angle of the boot. The plan is to change the plugs and wires, and if that doesn't make it drivable the coil pack is next. I brought it in to be diagnosed and they wanted to do plugs and wires first. I still haven't saved up enough to have them do the plugs and wires. They told me it was running on 5 cylinders.
