22RE Inlet manifold removal

I am replacing the cylinder head gasket (and having the head inspected while it is off) and I have gotten to removing the inlet manifold. I have removed all the bolts and nuts (6 bolts/2 nuts) attaching the manifold to the head but I can't break the gasket seal. I have been shaking the manifold and tried to jar it loose with a block of wood and a hammer but that hasn't worked. Does any one have any suggestions?
