Let me start out by saying I don't know anything about cars, but thought it would be a good idea to ask those who do. I have tried to have someone look at it but they didn't feel the issue at the time. If this is not an appropriate place for a complete novice to post a question I am sorry and please feel free to delete.

My car needed new rotors pretty bad and so it naturally was shaking for a few months. (Just too busy to get it taken care of). I had them replaced and now breaking is smooth and great but the shaking that was happening with accelerating, which I thought was also due to warped rotors, has not gone away, so I'm not really sure when it started, because I assumed it was all due to the same issue. Here is what is happening:

Sometimes (and only sometimes) it will start vibrating or shaking pretty bad when I am accelerating. It seems to be at random times, and random speeds. If I don't let off the gas it continues to shake for quite some time. If I do let off the gas even slightly it immediately stops and when I reapply pressure it doesn't shake anymore. It happens several times on the half our drive to/from work, and it is not a little vibration- it feels like something is going to break. It seems to happen more when I am accelerating and turning at the same time (maybe that is coincidence), but also happens when going completely straight. As I said, I have had it checked out but I don't think they drive it long enough to feel it. Of course when I want it to do it it doesn't do it. I have had transmission issues on previous cars and this doesn't feel like that, but again I don't really know cars so I could be wrong. Besides replacing the breaks it has never had any other issues.

It is a 2014 Toyota Camry. I have no idea what the engine size is.

Any help figuring this out would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your time!

Have the computer scanned for codes and post the numbers of any stored codes here.

Could be possible torque converter shudder. TSB 0312-17 addresses that.

Quote
Some 2012 – 2014 model year Camry vehicles with a U760 transmission may exhibit a brief
shudder intermittently while driving under light loads between approximately 25 and 50 mph. The
torque converter and Engine Control Module/ECM (SAE term: Powertrain Control Module/PCM)
logic has been modified to reduce the possibility of this condition occurring.

I'm still trying to determine if it's mechanical or misfire. That's why I asked for codes.
