2011 Ford Escape rear gate

I have a 2011 Ford Escape with a rear gate that only opens part time. It is supposed to unlock with the doors and it used to, but now it only opens part time.

Lock actuator/motor is probably in the gate and no wires - look for metal little contact to go to hatch and that contacts are clean and good if done that way OR if wires that bend in a snorkel they could be fraying inside insulation out of sight inside where they bend, more common the most used door or hatch if that trouble,
