2008 Ford Fusion engine cable detached - Need Identification

I have a 08 ford fusion that has a cable that broke under the hood. The check engine light came on the other day and im guessing this is the issue. The link shows what is broken. Can someone tell me what that part is. it looks very easy to repair.

Those are vacuum control solenoids for something and the nipple is broken off one. I don't know which system they are for, possibly EVAP control solenoids but you should be able to find out by following the vacuum hoses back to their source.

I cant seem to find any information about what that part specifically is. Even on FordParts.com I cant find anything like vacuum control solenoid. any good resources for looking for specific parts online?

First you have to find out what it controls. You could always remove it and bring it to ford to ID from the part number.

Intake manifold runner control (IMRC) or swirl control solenoid valve. That would set a trouble code. Dealer part.

Yes, i saw those in the wiring diagram but couldn't find a picture of the component.

Sure, you can get it yourself. Just go to the dealer, parts department, and tell them the VIN. Then tell them you are looking for the IMRC vacuum solenoid valve.

Oops...that is actually the Manifold Tuning Valve (MTV) vacuum solenoid, but the IRMC and MTV solenoids are the same.
