2007 Toyota Prius - Will not shift into gear. Sign In

I just attempted a battery repair on my Prius.

It turns on, but it won't shift into Reverse or Drive. It can shift between Neutral and Park. All of the lights on the dash are on.

I have a code reader. It returns no codes at all.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

High voltage battery or auxiliary battery?

Thanks.

The original problem was with the high voltage battery. I did disconnect both batteries to do this, however.

What kind of scanner do you have? If you have a generic type OBD2 scanner, you will probably need an enhanced scanner that can get on the manufacture's side of the system to see if there are any manufacture codes being stored.
