Okay guys heres my issue.. I have new tires on my truck Cooper.. I have had them road forced tested and balanced. Front end alignment and all... Truck has been a little bumpy even after all of this was done.. But now when I hit the highway at speeds between 60 and 70 the vibration gets very bad.. I am just looking for suggestions here on what may be going on.. I only have about 1500 miles on the tires.. 1) Could it be a shock issue? 2) Do you think I need to get the tires trued? 3) The truck only has 63000 on it.. I am just concerned that there is something else going on and it drives me crazy.. Help... If you cant fix it then dont mess with it...

Have to tried moving them around to different positions to see if it changes the symptoms at all? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Hammer no they have not...Will ask Monday I was told the trues were a little out of round but not much the guy recommended truing them?? Dont think I wan to do that.. Chickenhouse the clank noise was coming from the muffler system they cut something out and welded a flex pipe in and it solved the issue.. My mom isnt doing so well I dont know how much longer she may be here.. Doctor told me keep praying... He just ran a bunch of test this week we are waiting on the results...Thanks for asking.. If you cant fix it then dont mess with it...

Trueing a tire should not be an option. The tire has a warranty for that condition and should simply be replaced. Don't wait though as that part of the warranty is usually in force only for the first 10 or 20% of the tire's life.

I am hoping its not the drive shaft. I am not sure if warranty would cover something like that.. I just dont see how it can be the tires.... If you cant fix it then dont mess with it...

Move them around and that will at least tell you if you are on the right track or not.

Steering wheel is fine its more the seat and floor board... It gets really bad at about 62 mph and 70 mph... I was told of a TSB about a beam shake but if this was the case for me it would of been there from the get go in my opinion.. If you cant fix it then dont mess with it...

The tires I have up there are the Cooper Discoverer LSX..... CarMax purchased and bought these tires. I was told they are out of round by my mechanic after the roadforce balance test.. He said it wasnt to bad but if they were his he would want something done about it.. I called CarMax today and they will not stand by these tires I cant figure it out... Maybe being out of round a little is causing my issues I dont know... If you cant fix it then dont mess with it...

I'm thinkin Cooper is one of the last tires made in the good ol USA. Might be wrong but that would be a first! Might find a Cooper dealer and seek their advice- if you think your mechanic is on the ball and good enough and not passing the buck. I was waiting to see if any other techs here could find a tsb for what you describe.

My Mechanic is a Cooper tire dealer.. But being they were bought from Sears or Costco he wont get involved.. Here is a TSB.. Subject: Suspension Vibration or Frame Beaming at 40-60 MPH (64-80 km/h) - keywords front rear shake shock spring tire #PIT3009D - (09/14/2006) Models: 1999-2007 Chevrolet Silverado Classic 1999-2007 GMC Sierra Classic -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This PI is being updated to provide additional fix information and parts available. Please discard PIT3009C. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI. Condition/Concern: Beam shake vibration is usually felt in the seat and occurring at speeds between 40-50 mph (64 - 80 km/h). Hertz readings using an EVA tool are normally between 8-24 Hz. This condition is most common on extended cab and crew cab models but has also been noted in other models. Recommendation/Instructions: The severity of beam shake may vary from vehicle to vehicle. To determine if the concern is beam shake, please perform the following: Test drive vehicle to confirm the condition. A beam shake condition will usually respond to concrete type pavements more than asphalt, so the vehicle should be driven over both surfaces if possible. Place 200-500 pounds in the pickup bed between the closed tailgate and the wheel wells. A beaming condition should dissipate. Note: Tires with excessive Radial Force Variation (RFV) or out-of-roundness can intensify the frame beaming concern. The following radial force variation numbers should be used as a guide: P-Metric tires (2WD 1500) 12 lbs or less P-Metric tires (all others) 24 lbs or less LT-tires 30 lbs or less If the concern is determined to be beam shake, this is a characteristic of the vehicle and currently no repair attempts should be made. With your help in the use of the Field Product Reporting process GM Engineering is currently developing an enhancement to the body mounts to reduce this concern on the 1500 Models. On going testing has pushed the timing of these mounts to the first half of 2007. There will be no enhancement made to the 2500 and 3500 models. At this point no more Field Product Reports are needed and thanks for your help. Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If you cant fix it then dont mess with it...

So, according to your first post, this started AFTER you installed the new Coopers, right? Do you have access to 2 tires you could put on the rear to see if it made any diff?

Chickenhouse the issue was there on the 2nd day after buying the truck.. CarMax told me to bring it back I did.. They decided if I would buy 2 tires they would buy 2 they went with Cooper.. The vibration wasnt that noticable after that.. After about a 1000 miles I had to have them rebalanced and I had them roadforced balanced just to make sure they wernt twisted on the rim.. Today rebalanced and the issue is still there.. It has been windy here and it seems to make it worst... I dont feel I should have to keep spending money to balance tires.. I never had to do it this many times on any of my other vehicles...Its got me stunned.. If you cant fix it then dont mess with it...

Tires balanced 2 times, rotated, same prob but not as bad since the new tires, all I can think of would be the tsb. AN outside chance of driveshaft but with a tsb, I'd lean that way.
