I have a 2006 Chev 3500 4X4 Diesel 6.6 Duramax. The computer is pulling code P0208-Injector 8 control circuit (symptom 00)-Current DTC, Test Not Passed Since DTC cleared, Test Failed Since DTC Clear, History DTC, Current DTC Since Power Up, Warning Indicator Requested. I cleaned all the injectors with injector cleaner. I did this to make sure it wasn't just dirty before replacing the injector. Its still pulling the same code after cleaning. Next, I'm going to check the wires. How do I get to the wires? Is it under the valve cover? Thanks!

p0208 is a CIRCUIT issue - the PCM is NOT seeing 12v from inj #8...an open wire grounded wire, bad elec connector at injector... If you removed the inj you had to unplug the connector ... the wiring is on top of inj.... the wiring at inj - A pink wire is common 12v, D BU/WH is control to PCM...with inj plugged in is there 12v on BOTH wires....might want to shake tug connector... let us know then we can check control wire... OK Maybe I misread "cleaned injectors" You used a bottle type injector cleaner? did not remove injectors for professional cleaning...

Is the injector wire where I can get to it without removing the valve cover?

no valve cover removal for connector BUT you need to see it, might want to have a connector available there is a TSB for them and they are available separate. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yz1sxuOCuaE

You didn't clean anything with that stuff. You just padded the parts man's pocket., ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Ok thanks. Also, just curious, I had another mechanic tell me today that another cause could be the O-ring or that it's losing oil pressure. Thoughts on that.

It is a circuit code or an electrical problem with that particular injector's circuit. It is not a mechanical issue. Cleaning an injector for an electrical issue is like vacuuming a lamp shade because the light doesn't come on. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
