2005 dodge neon making grinding sound under hood

I have a 2005 dodge neon,2.0L,standard transmission. Whenever i push down the clutch and put the car in gear and give it gas,there's a grinding sound under the hood.i don't know if the clutch is going out,or transmission. All i know is i heard it, then it went away, but now its doing it again.

If the noise is only happening when you are pushing the clutch pedal and goes away when you release it. That would narrow it down to a problem in the clutch assembly...........
