2005 Kia Clutch Sign In

I have a 2005 Kia Spectra. About a year ago a guy put in a brand new clutch for me and the car drove fine for about a month. Then the clutch started acted funny so I parked it for a year and now want to start driving it regularly again - it's a good everyday driver.

THE PROBLEM: when I drive the car in "stop and go" street traffic or if I let the car warm up in the driveway with the car in neutral and the parking brake on...the clutch goes out and I have to wait for the car to cool down for the clutch to start working again (it will shift but the car won't move). When I'm driving around town, I can tell when the clutch is starting to go because when I press the clutch pedal while shifting gears it makes a squeaking sound.

Alone that it just sat for year isn't good for anything. What do you mean "clutch goes out" exactly like just not releasing and foot to the floor WITHOUT disengaging we or enough then it can be better or worse?
Arggh? What was done a year ago by tech or just the minimum to make it move at all?

Re: 2005 Kia Clutch Sign In

It will shift into gears but won't move when it starts acting up. This was the problem a year ago when I just parked it and did not feel like dealing with it. The clutch works fine until the car warms up or its being used too much (like in stop and go traffic) but once it cools down then it goes back to normal. Someone has suggested that he did not bleed the clutch well...

? Acting up how? Does the clutch slip when warmed up?
If not bled out of air it would behave like you weren't pushing on the clutch at all, shift would be hard to impossible if complete or partial with air worse when warm as the air in lines at a stop real hard to shift into 1st or reverse.
Pretty much one or the other symptoms either grabs when it shouldn't or doesn't release you have full connection with the engine's rpm.

Troubles can just go wild forcing it while it has a problem if you don't totally understand what it's really doing and keep driving it no telling now I think there's damage unknown? Can't be sure I can't make out what it's really doing or not doing from what you said,
