Can anyone tell me what the torque value is for the chassis to cab bolts on a 2005 Dodge Ram Quad Cab? I have recently added nerf bars (step bars) and just can't seem to get the bolts tight enough to prevent them from loosening up and rattling. The kit did not come with any torque settings, it just said to tighten up the bolts (no joke).

I haven't tried torqueing them yet because I do not want to strip out anything.

I don't know that torque specs are available for that application. What size bolts are you using? 3/8, 7/16, 1/2?
You may want to use thread-lock to keep them from coming loose. I installed mine five years ago, and haven't had a problem. I just 'tightened' them, by hand.

Thanks for the advice on the thread lock. I will give it a try.

Yes this chart helps considerably. Thanks very much. I will try the 60lbs for the cab isolators along with the thread lock from the previous answer and hopefully I should be good to go.
