2004 chevy trailblazer DRL/lowbeam lights wont work.

i got a 2004 chevy trailblazer 4.2l. DRL/lowbeams don't work. All other lights (park lights, high beams, turn signal) work. Driver side DRL bulb blew. Both went out at the same time. Replaced both bulbs, still nothing. Checked both fuses in the underhood fuse block, both are good. But got nothing, when checking these two fuses while in the DRL slots. Checked for power from wires to DRL bulbs, got nothing. Whats my next step? Jesus is good.

I assume you have checked fuses #3 and 6. You should also check relay # 46 (HDM). It can also be a problem with the BCM (body control module) or headlamp switch. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Confirm that the 15 amp HDM fuse (should be number 53) in the under hood fuse block is not blown. By 2004 the HDM fuse feeds the solid state relay. That relay feeds both the low and high beam lamps. Another possibility is a failed solid state HDM relay. The HDM relay should be number 46 and is in the same fuse box. As a test just to see if the lights work swap relay number 46 with number relay number 45.

hi guys, Hope you can help. I have the exact same problem bird has. All my fuses and relays are fine. On my 2oo4 number 53 is the ECL? I tested for power at the fuses for the low beams and nothing. Any ideas?
