like i said above last night when i come home it ran great. no problems at all. this morning won't start. 2004 blazer,3.4 liter, put gas in throttle body still didn't start. think it's not getting fire. what would be the first thing that i should check. i don't have any testers my ex saw fit to sell all my tools.

Do your best to check for spark but it may not be getting either. Check all the fuses - better if by test light to anything engine control as possible. Be nice if you could tell if they got power at all,

just pouring gas in the throttle body may no be enough. its not like a carburetor. chances are the gas just puddled on the other end of the throttle plate and never made it down into the cylinder heads. also your car wont run with the intake tube and intake air sensors detached.

what i would do to verify if your getting spark is grab some starting fluid. now while leaving all your air intake tubing attached to the throttle body, pop off the top of your air filter box. Now with someone cranking the engine for you try spraying the starting fluid down the intake tube. Try not to blast the MAF sensor with the starting fluid.

the engine stumbles your getting spark and its a fuel problem which is more likely to go bad in a short period of time like you described

if it is fuel i would check the following:

1) the internal check valve inside your fuel pump failed allowing all the gas in your fuel lines to drain back into the tank. try cycling the fuel pump a fuel times by turning the key to ACC but not start. you should be able to hear the pump running. Your going to have to do this several times to prime the system back up.

2)Clogged Fuel Filter

3) faulty fuel gauge and your actually out of gas.

yea your going to have to replace the fuel pump. the check valve is internal in the pump and since youll have it in your hands its worth the peace of mind to replace it now.

not sure if your going to tackle this yourself on a weekend or give it to a shop. but either way try to run your gas tank close to empty before the job is started
