2004 Sebring Needs Camshaft Position Sensor... New Mechanic Needs HELP! Sign In

Hello everyone. My name is Melanie, and I'm currently an automotive mechanics student in her early years of training. I have a 2004 Chrysler Sebring Limited convertible with a 2.7L engine, and it needs a new Camshaft Position Sensor. I just picked the part up from the dealer, but now I'm having problems getting the old sensor detached... it has some kind of clip system, and I am unsure of how to get these off without damaging the car. I will post a picture below of the type of sensor it is if it will help... this is not the cam sensor itself, but it was too hard to get a picture of.

Can anyone help me take these clips off? I feel like it's such a silly question, but I really don't know!

Thank you so much for any help you may have!

~Melanie

I tried pulling the red tab out, but it's not budging... it seems like it's trapped in there somehow. Do you have to pull or push anything to free that tab up?
