2004 Hyundai XG350 dies when accelorated

A few weeks ago the car would die when driving, it would start back automatically. We chalked it up to getting some bad gas. Problems worsened to takeing 20-30 minutes to start back, couldnt get even a mile from the house. Car would start when it wanted to. We replaced the fuel pump & screen. It fired right up, but when ya touched the gas pedal it would die. Wouldnt start again, but made backfiring like sounds when you tried. After removing the positive battery post it fired right up again, but died when you touch the gas. Any help would be appreciated as just guessing part by part & replaceing is getting expensive.

A good place to start would be to have the codes pulled and see if there is any help there....
If I had to guess, I wouldn't be surprised to see a P034x or P032x codes stored....
