Hi

2004
Honda
Civic Ep2
1.6
60k

My Honda Civic struggles to start , if the car stalls sometimes the engine won't start up again , the engine turns over but very weakly . The electronics are fine , as far as I can tell ( lights, locks etc)

The AA tested my battery and said it was fine and hinted at the starter motor . My car has been sat for 5 days and now won't start , again turns over weakly . Some times when pulling away I notice the headlights dim ?

If anyone could point me as to what the problem part is , that would be greatly appreciated .

Thank you in Advance
Joe

What is the battery voltage while your cranking the engine? Does the check engine light come on when you turn the ignition on? Are there any trouble codes stored? If so, what are the numbers?

Let me guess..............

You have a AAA battery and when you called them with a problem with it, they said there was nothing wrong with it and yet you still have a problem.

I have had this time after time with AAA after I have tested a battery and it failed. AAA does not honor their warranties and all I can say is, never buy one.

Have it tested by someone else, like Autozone or Advance.
