Hey Guys (and girls)

I am having a problem with my Escape. It is a 2004 Ford Escape XLT with a V6 Engine in it. A couple of days ago it started idleing really low. So i put fuel injection cleaner in it and it started gettign better but then it just went back to the way it was. I am thinking that it needs a new fuel filter. It has cut off on me twice and I read somewhere that I should change the gas I use because of the oxygen levels in the winter time. I changed from 87 to 93 and yesterday as I was turning it just cut off on me while I was turning out of the parkign deck here at work on a busy street. It just cranked right back up and went fine. Then this am as I am at a stop sign on the way to work it cut off agian. It will go fine as long as my foot is on the gas but then when i stop it acts like it wants to cut off. Is there anything else I can do? I really need your help... Hope to hear from you soon !

Hard to say what this might be; not without scanning the computer. Maybe not so much for codes (you didn’t say the check engine light has come on); but to compare sensor input, to known normal readings.
A few things you could look for; are vacuum lines that have come off. Also check the air intake ducting from the air cleaner box, on through too the mass air flow sensor and then to the engine. Making sure that there aren’t any cracks in the bellows or ducting; where false air can enter the engine or around the mass air flow sensor.
Just guessing here and like I said the vehicle may need to be scanned; if there are no physical explanations?
