If anyone else is reading this, I need the catalytic conv. replaced. I was quoted 700 for a shop that is including the 2 new O2 Sensors. Is there anyway around this? The car is a 2003 Mazda 6S has 156,000 miles. The car has been great, so I don't mind fixing it, or this might be the end of the road for the car. Thanx for any help. Dan

my check engine light just came on, i took it to the dealership and they told me my rear converter was bad. i ask them rear?.. b/c i didnt see anything back there. they told it its located in the front on the intakeM/fold..all i see is one directly in the center of the car.. how many catalytic converters does 2003 mazda6 3.o have?

According to my database, this vehicle may have three cats. One upstream, and two downstream (left and right).
