2003 Chevy Impala 3.4L V6 156,000 miles

I have a 2003 Impala 3.4L V6, we parked the car at a store, came back out and it just started up 2 secs later it then cutoff and acted like it had no gas, (bogged) It does have gas, I checked the spark plugs and they are getting spark, I checked and replaced the fuses and relays and still car wont crank, I checked the fuel pump and It was not working, I replaced the pump and its still not working, I tested the harness at the pump and I have no power at the pump.

I was (still am) having a similar problem with my '03 Alero (basically the same GM car). I went to AutoZone for the new fuel pump and they also sold me this small 9$ wiring harness, the one you are talking about that connects to the fuel pump. It didn't end up solving my problem, but they said it was a VERY frequent part that they sold. Might be worth a try for 9$!

Yeah ive been thinking about that guess i should check for power where the harness plugs in under the car and see if its power there. if so, then its my harness but harness looks good most of the time the wires would be discolored or the plastic clips would he hard if it had gone bad, I'm just baffled as to the problem of this all. I know the original fuel pump was bad i hooked it to the battery and it wouldnt come on so now im just wondering what is causing this. Thanks for the advice I may just have to try that, couldnt hurt out $300 with the pump and fuel filter anyways

Just a couple of questions. How & where were you checking for power?

On this system with the KOEO (key on) there will only be power to the gray wire for 2 seconds so you pretty much need a helper to do this properly...

One thing to check. These have a big gang connection it the engine compartment on the right side that runs along the rail 1/2 way back to the firewall in frt of the engine. Take that connecter apart and look for signs of a melted terminal, it will have a gray wire going to it. If the terminal is melted the easiest fix is to bypass the one circuit from the connecter.........
