2003 VW Passat Vibrates at idle Sign In

Hello there, I am really hoping for some assistance as I've spent some time searching google for an answer to my trouble, but as we all know you need to get the right combination of words to even hope to pull something up that is really helpful. I have a 2003 VW Passat sedan with the 1.8L Turbo 4 Cylinder engine at about 80k miles.

Now the reason I am seeking help online instead of taking it in to a mechanic is, I just got it back. I've had it in the shop for about a month now. I am unhappy at the amount I had to pay out of pocket even while I have it under warranty.

They had to replace a camshaft sensor, all 4 plugs and coils (1 of which was broken, and they are not sure how that is even possible, it was broken in half, I actually have it, as they gave it to me to show me) and had the rear rotors and pads done seeing as they were extremely close to metal on metal.

Now the problem is, I am driving it home, and have driven it a couple days now, and notice when I stop while it is still in gear it vibrates a LOT to the point I'd say it almost shakes but not quite that rough, this is the complete opposite of how it used to be before I had to take it in to the shop,it used to be that while at red lights I'd sometimes wonder if the car was even still on it ran so smoothly.

So I was hoping someone a little more knowledgeable might have an idea of what is causing this. OR perhaps there's just a break in period on all the work that was done to my car? Any knowledge you can share with me would be much appreciated!

By rights it should go back.

By description it seems like the idle speed is just too low if running properly otherwise.

I doubt that's an ajustment (puter self adjust that) so I'd just look to make sure eveything is plugged in and that the air intake parts are all snug and in place,

T

It seems to have now gone away. Thank you for your quick reply. All I did is go over all the work that was done, insuring everything was connected properly. I didn't notice anything loose or in the wrong place, but the vibration seems to be gone.
