I have an '03 GMC Envoy. The fan seems to be stuck on high speed. The problem is persistent and will not go away. I seem to believe it could be the fan clutch. Any ideas? Thanks.

Are you talking about the cooling fan on the engine or the blower fan for the A/C inside?

The cooling fan on the motor. It is running constantly, on high speed it seems. The car is very loud when accelerating.

That's not that unusual. There really isn't a good way to test the fan clutch for pull too much air. You could try a new one but you may be wasting your money.

Do you know if it could be something else? The best way i could explain it would be if you were running your a/c on full blast during the summer months, and after a while of running the a/c, the engine fan starts blowing real fast. You can only hear it during accelerations.

That pretty much sounds like the way it's supposed to act. Your just hearing the fan pulling air. It designed to lock at full speed most of the time with the thermostat built into it.
