2003 Buick LaSabre Custom Warning Lights Sign In

Year...2003
Make...Buick
Model..LaSabre Custom
Engine Size....3.8 L Series II 3800 V6
Mileage....58,785

While driving the car. The warning lights (Traction Off, ABS, Brake) all came on at the same time. Brakes still works with no problems. We drove it to a garage and had car up on a rack to inspect the brakes. Also ran a code checker on car in which none showed up computer. Brakes were fine. You can start the car and everything lights up an then the warning lights show back on with a door bell sound (best way I can say what it sounds like). There have been a few times, when cracking car these lights Do Not Come On, after car does it's first (as I CALL IT) StartUp.

Thanks for any help in this matter.

Did they check for trouble codes stored in the electronic brake traction control module (EBTCM)? Engine controller doesn't store ABS trouble codes.

I was thinking this needed a more intense check as something is getting wrong info or crossed up. Off the wall but a couple slightly older BUICKS in particular would give you a ding dong sound if your directionals were on too long as a reminder to shut them off Crazy No clue how that fits in the scene if it even has that feature for this problem?? Either that or it might have that feature as a reminder to check you dash board warning - not sure. If so it's all related. Not much help for you,

T

Got into an old 78 Cadillac and the chime was an actual bell or what sounded like a key off a xylophone...not an electronic pizo buzzer.

GM's 5 divisions CPOBC in that order each had their own features unique things for ages. Not to beat this thread up but BUICK again had mechanical traction control so long ago it isn't funny! Yup - one wheel would switch power to the other and no clue how they did that. Was cool when you would see one done a long burn out leaving marks on the road one side then the other!

I gotta leave this thread alone as I don't really know how to help this person with this problem,

Tom
