2003 Buick Century rear wheel squeak

2003 Buick Century rear wheel squeak

Car is 2003 Buick Century, 131000 km, FWD, drum brakes on rear. There is a rhythmic squeak coming from what appears to be the rear driver side wheel area. Just did a 5000 km road trip and started noticing it around the 2500km mark. Not noticeable when windows are up, only when down. Took the wheel off to look and the area is very rusty. To my knowledge the drum brakes haven't been changed. The tires have even wear and the noise still persists when I apply the brakes. The squeak increases as speed increases.
Front left axel was replaced around the same time the noise started (noise started first, had to replace axel, noise was still present after).
Any help appreciated! I can post some pics but it all looks in order.

Noted that. Drum brakes almost all need to be removed, dust and or rust dumped out and put back on routinely or can make noise or fail to work properly. Same time check condition should be a routine nobody seems to do is not listed as periodic maint. If you want to drive 5,000 Km trip better check this thing out all over many things that move that are exposed - brake, cables pivoting parts all under it.
IMO, Disc/drum set up was long lasting but anything still requires attention routinely over time and distance. Mark it down when what was done so you can find it or do all and start your own list make it routine or ask specifically if not doing this all yourself,
