My vehicle has a manual transmission and "knocks"
when I am reducing my speed. I was informed that
it is a knock sensor problem. I ordered the part and
now am wondering where the knock sensor is located?

No, you were informed wrong. There is a problem in the drive train somewhere. You need to have a pro listen to it.

HT is right. Knock sensors are used to detect detonation (pre-ignition), so the engine computer can retard ignition timing to protect the engine. If there is a knock sensor problem usually a trouble code will set. Pre-ignition usually never happens on deceleration, so you need to follow HT's advice.
