2002 dodge ram has no power steering

We have a 2002 Dodge ram pickup, 8V with 125K miles. It has no power steering, it worked intermittently for a while, but now it is gone. Haven't tried anything yet, does anyone have any suggestions?

Have you already checked the fluid level?
Are there any noises coming from the engine compartment?

Yes, we have checked the fluid. There was a clicking sound and movement when you would turn left and right was just fine. But now there is no power steering in either direction.

Well, it needs to be inspected before anyone is going to know anything for sure but is sounds like maybe a problem with the pump.

I think we had that replaced over 6 months ago. Someone suggested it might be a bearing at the bottom of something. I know that's not much help. In the area we live in, we will probably have to take it to the dealer which I was trying to avoid. Thank you for your help!

Your description really doesn't help much. It's impossible to have any idea what's going on there without some hard facts about the situation.
