We have a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix with a 3.8 motor Our son was driving it home from work, stopped at the store, went back into the car and it would not start. He said he did not notice anything wrong while driving (not surprised!). Anyway, we tried the battery, which is only about 18 to 24 months old, that was okay, starter was taken out and tested, apparently that is okay too. Pulled the fuses behind the glove compartment and under the hood. Still does not start. The lights are working, the dashboard lights light up. Anything else I can do? Any and all help will be appreciated. Thank you. Someone is going to have to troubleshoot the starter circuit with a test light. Try starting it in neutral instead of park too. Power leaves the ignition switch on a yellow wire to the neutral safety switch and from there to the starter on the purple wire. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional. Replaced the neutral safety switch and still nothing. Any other adivce? What else could cause it not to start?
