2001 Tahoe ABS failure Sign In

Hello!

My wife drives a 2001 CHevy Tahoe with only 53k miles.

Recently the ABS light has been coming on and the dealer claims it will cost $2,100 to fix it.

Has anyone else had this problem?

The value of the car is $10-13k should we consider selling it?

Thanks for any advice.

What did they find wrong with it? Some can come on with just dirt fooling a sensor at wheel that can be blown out.

I suggest another opinion and price. If brakes feel ok the "home" position should be back to regular brakes and work the same as vehicles without ABS.

Fix, trade, or sell is always up to you, T
