Any help would be appreciated!!

I have a 2001 Civic. I have replaced the fan, fan switch, thermostat, and radiator. However, my car is still running hot when I am idle. Does anyone know what I should do?

Is the fan coming on by itself with the a/c off at idle?

I am not sure. The mechanic said that the fan was working properly, and when I turn on the AC while I am idle, it seems to overheat faster.

Define overheat. Is it actually boiling over or just running hotter than normal?

The meter goes all the way to the H, while I am idle, and immediately once I start driving again it drops back down to the middle of the meter.

The fan has a switch in the radiator to turn it on when A/C is not on assuming the fan itself is good.
