2000 s-10 blazer no start in the rain Sign In

when it rains, my blazer will not start. Seems like something is getting wet. It cranks over sluggishly, then seems like the battery is low. Usually everything works great, pops off at start, no other issues. this has happened 2 times now. Last time it sat for 2 days until it would start after a rain. And now today. Help!!!

May not be the rain at all, just lower ambient temperature. Have the battery charged fully and load tested. Batteries are at their worst when cold. Also, raise the hood and see if the distributor cap is getting wet after a rain.

Check your coil wire at the coil side. I have seen this problem many times with the V6 on the GM 98 to 2002 if it's white and dusty replace it. With most once they start they will start the rest of the day.
