Spark and Fuel is the 1st step.

Make sure yoru battery is not dying, but turning on your lights and windscreen wipers at the same time and make sure that they run at normal speed. if a little slow. Time for a new Battery.

I have checked the spark plugs and they seem to be fine. I have already put in a new battery. I checked the small fuse box under the dash and all of the fuses have a black smut on the legs of them. I am going to try to get an oppointment to get a computer analysis do on it. Hopefullt nothing has shorted out. Would you happen to now how t o check to see if the fuse box is bad?

I dont think it will be an interior fuse box problem. Most of the engine fuses are in the fuse box under the hood. But I am kinda at a loss here. You have spark, new battery and it cranks, but won't start...This could be a starter issue perhaps. Maybe contacts or brushes in the starter. You can tell if the fuse box is gone cause everything that runs off that fuse box, does not work. That's the easiest way. I am thinking it still me be fuel problem. Maybe fuel pump, or clogged filter. Send a PM to Tom Greenleaf or Way2Old for a second opinion. They are the gun Mechanics, I am just a specialised Auto Electrical Tech.

How did the car become a no start? Give us a little history on the car so we know what to search out. It is really time consuming for us to ask each time what was replaced. You volunteered the fuel pump information, but the good Dr, had to pry the battery replacement. You say the plugs look good---have you checked to see igf spark is going to them? Can you hear the fuel pump run? What is the fuel pressure? Does it turn over normally--slower than usual--or faster than normal? I am not trying to be mean or nasty, but we need all the information we can get since I can't put my hands on your car to test it. Thank you for using the foruim and please answer my questions and any more little things you can think of.

Thank you Way(NOT)2old for your post.
Not to say anything wrong about this thread or the person posting it but a lot of people seem to think, “it’s just a car”, here’s what its doing, what’s wrong.
There are so many variables on today’s vehicles that even when we’re right in front of the thing; the problem (most times) just doesn’t jump out at us.
Like what you said Tom; with enough info we maybe able to do a little research and come up with a feasible answer?

Dan.

PS; I’m not saying this thread but something put on a sticky with a stronger message, stating we need people too tell us everything they know or have done too the vehicle?
It’s not like it’s going cost them anything to tell us; just a little more thought and understanding that we can't see, feel or hear what they’re telling us.
