I have a Ford E250 van...v8 engine. Recently when driving and let up off gas it starts to "sputter" or "hiccup". step on gas it stops doing it. Any suggestions on what may be causing this?

That's not making a bunch of sense. The the truck was decelerating, how would you know if it "hiccuped"? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Maybe my terminology is not good. You can feel it...maybe "missing" is better term.

Same thing. You can't feel a miss if the engine isn't accelerating (under power).
