2000 chrysler concorde 2.7 flywheel Sign In

Good Morning I have a 2000 chrysler concorde . It had a blown headgasket I purchase a motor out of a 2002 after work is completed the car rotates but will not start the mechanic is telling me the the flywheel needs to be from a 2000. Is this true he said year cut of and flywheel change. Please advise Thanks

while its always easier to buy a direct replacement for your specific year make/model. as long as its the same engine size. i would think as long as the diameter, teeth on the ring gear, and weights are the same you should be good.

Thanks so would it be safe to say that this replacement engine I bought has some timming issues. The mechanic said the flywheel did not match because of the diffrent in years. I just want to know if I should take my car somewhere else Im already at $2973.16 with this guy.its a 2000 the engine came out of a 2002 same 2.7 .

He's probably right. Due to the crank sensor, the reluctor on the flywheel may be different. BTDT. The original flywheel must be used.
