Sign In Year of vehicle 2000, Pontiac grand prix se, engine size 3800, 150000 milage Engine starts but then dies over and over, after letting sitt for a couple hours it will stay running for 3 mins then dies and will start and die immediately. Is this the fuel pump and if so does it need to be professonaly depresserized to replace? Sign In Stacie; I'd want to do a bit more diagnosing prior to replacing the fuel pump. Have the fuel pressure tested. Any trouble codes stored? Check engine or service engine soon lamp illuminated?
