2000 Grand Cherokee misfire/sputtering

I am sure that I am not the first nor the last to inquire about this. I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Loredo with the 4.0L and having about 127,000 miles on it. up until September it has been very reliable. At that time it started to sputter and then occasionally die and also not start. I did the following - reman PCU, new fuel pump and filter, new crank sensor, new camshaft sensor, new injectors, new plugs and coil rails. I thought that this should solve the problem. It has not stalled any more but I was driving it the other day and it pulled up a P305 (misfire in cylinder 5). I am at whits end here because other than the one time the code came up, I never had any codes. Is there somethign I am missing or what else can be recommended. I would appreciate all the help I can get.

You need to determine what is causing the misfire. Spark, fuel, or compression. So many possibilities. Start with a compression test to be certain that you have a good cylinder. A gas analyzer would come in handy....to see if you have fuel going to the cylinder?? Even though the injectors were replaced, don't overlook that possiblity. Check for a vacuum leak at that cylinder. (intake manifold) Plug wires? Ect.
