Hey I have a 2000 Ford Focus with 100k Miles on it, it just had a rebuilt engine other than that everythings fine. I bought it maybe 2 weeks ago and now im noticing that the speedometer will occasionally zero out for about five min and then jump back up. its a manual so I also noticed that when accelerating from first gear (while the speedometer is dead) I have slightly less power when I hit higher RPM's. Its a very little difference almost unnoticeable but I have been watching it more closely thats why i noticed. and also on top of that, the Odometer (its digital) will blank out and show three dashes where the numbers are supposed to be. but that happens VERY rarely and when it does its only when the speedometer isnt working. any ideas on what could be causing this?

VSS comes to mind, but would think it would be setting a DTC? Anyone else have any ideas?
