2000 Dodge Caravan - Left side turn signals not functional Sign In

I've got a 2000 Dodge Caravan with a problem regarding the front and rear left hand turn signals.

A mechanic informed me the switch was bad and the bulbs were in perfect condition.

For a strange single moment last night, the left hand turn signals suddenly began working. I've decided to hold off on buying and installing the new switch since I realize this could be some issue with loose wiring.

The only solution I could come up with was perhaps disconnecting and then reconnecting the tab that corresponds to the multiswitch unit. Would this even solve my problem?

I would appreciate any feedback that could help me save at least $100 on the new switch.

Unable to give you an accurate answer on that one. It could be a loose or poor connection or there could be a problem inside the switch itself that is causing your intermittent concern. If the mechanic isolated the problem to the switch during his electrical testing, i'd be more inclined to go with his diagnosis. Maybe you should ask your mechanic this question.

Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
