2000 CHEVY BLAZER HAVING TROUBLE STARTING

i have a 2000 chevy blazer with a 4.3 engine.
when i let it sit for at least 8 hours it has a problem starting. it turns over just fine and even fires up but don't stay running. i have to crank it over like 50 times or more until it starts. i changed the cap and rotor about a month ago and replaced the wires about a year ago. what could be the problem?

Have the fuel pump pressure tested during one of these hard starting times.
Connect a fuel pressure gauge, start the truck and take a pressure reading. Then let the truck sit with gauge connected for the 8 or so hours and then try starting it; again making note of the pressure.
This truck calls for 60-66pis fuel pressure and with this style of injection, it means it; at 55psi the truck’s not going to start or it’ll attempt to start and then stall.
Also the pressure should hold after the engine is turned off; loosing no more then 3-5psi within a 20 minute time frame. After an 8 hour sit, the pressure will dissipate (this is normal) but should build again to the spec, within a couple of seconds of cranking the engine.
If the fuel pressure drops more then this; as in the needle of the gauge dropping to zero almost immediately; you may have some form of fuel leak or the check valve in the pump is beginning to fail. This check valve it part of the pump and is not serviced separately from the pump; which would mean replacing the pump assembly; after you have confirmed there are no external fuel leaks.

THANKS DAN! BUT JUST TO LET YOU KNOW I REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP ABOUT 40,000 MILES AGO. WHAT ABOUT THE STARTER SILIONID? OR COULD IT BE THAT MY SPARK PLUG WIRES ARE BAD? I REPLACED THEM ABOUT A YEAR AGO. NEVER DID PLUGS THO

I DONT KNOW IF IT MATTERS OR NOT BUT I LIVE IN MICHIGAN WHER IT HAS BEEN REALLY COLD AND WET. WHEN THE WEATHER IS LIKE THIS IS WHEN I HAVE PROBLEMS

So; I didn't say the pump was bad I said for you to test it!
If the engine is cranking "normal" then the problem doesn't have anything to do with the starter circuit.
As for the other questions YES it could be.
