2000 Blazer wont start

Fuel pump went out in 2000 Chev Blazer. Replaced pump and ran fine for awhile but was hard to start. Started dying whenever came to a stop, but would start back up. Eventually died and would not start. Checked fuel filter and was clogged so replaced filter. Now will only start when primed and will run fine but when vehicle is shut off will not prime itself to start.

you probably smoked your new pump its very hard on them to push fuel through a clogged filter there also bad about weak connections at the pump you should replace the pig-tail when replacing the pump
