1999 chev s-10 2.2L stalls after driving 45min Sign In

I have a 1999 Chev S-10 2.2L 4 cycl. that starts and runs fine around town (2-10 miles, stop and go). However, when I drive to the country, about 45min or so at 55mph it will stall. Usually when I come to a complete stop it will just cut off. Then it will not start just crank. If I let it sit for an hour or overnight it will start right up and run as normal. In response to this problem the following repairs have been done: 1) replaced oil pump 2) replaced catalytic converter 3) replaced O2 Sensor 4) replaced IAC valve 5) replaced fuel filter 6) cleaned fuel injectors with seafoam. I have fuel pump on order and plan to replace pump and clean out the gas tank. If this doesn"t work I am thinking electrical? Also, no CEL codes due to wire issue and when brokdown tried starting fluid but it would only run for a couple of seconds. Any thoughts? Many Thanks!

Simply guessing and throwing parts at it gets very expensive. It would have been a whole lot cheaper to pay someone to diagnose it for you in the first place. You need to take a fuel pressure reading during the failure before changing anything else.

The spec is Key On Engine Off 41-47 psi and has to remain in that range.

i think it will probably run fine after you replace the fuel pump. if it does then what was happening is after the pump runs for so long it is getting hot and cutting off....bad electrical parts dont like heat
