1999 Windstar stalls won't idle

I have a 99 Windstar- Lately when you start the engine it won't hold an
idle and stalls out. Especially if you have less than a half of tank
of gas. We used some fuel system cleaner and the problem subsided but
now it is back. It happens very sporadically. I thought originally it was
the fuel filter, but not I am thinking it is a valve issue. I don't
want to take it to a garage if it is an easy fix. let me know your
thoughts. The engine light is on

IF THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON, GO HAVE THE CODES READ AND POST THEM BACK HERE. Parts houses like Autozone and Pep Boys will read the codes for free in hopes you buy from them. Post the exact code number when you get the codes read.
