1999 Toyota Camry cruise control won't work

My 1999 Toyota Camry v4 cruise control won't work at all. It hasn't worked since i bought the car (used). No matter what button i press i can't get any lights to come on and it won't engage While I'm driving. I've looked at all the wiring from the control post to the module under the hood. Nothing. It all looks fine from what i can see. Pease help, driving long distance without it is a pain!

OK, first off, there is no such thing as a V4 engine so I assume you have a 2.2.
Unless you are experienced in electrical diagnostics, about the only thing you could do yourself is test all the fuses. After that someone is going to have to read a wiring diagram to troubleshoot the circuit.
