It takes a lot of pressure to get it going, then you accelerate too fast. A real pain in parking lots. Do you mean that when you go to drive it sticks at the normal position or is it sticking after you press it down? If nothing seen call GM with you vin# and see if it's been recalled, then if this thing can stick with engine running too fast take care of that right away. If the cable is all frayed inside it's not safe and will probably break soon anyway. Remove air induction, open throttle, and see if there's accumulated crud around the throttle plate-to-body area.
