1999 Blazer / No power when engine is cool Sign In

I have a 1999 blazer and if I start it up and take off right away I have no power like it boggs down. I can push the peddle all the way down and it won't go any faster. But after about 1 minute of driving it will come out of it and take right off. If i let it warm up for 5 minutes before I take off with it it does not have this problem. It's when i let it sit for an hour or in the morning is when it does this. it's like when the motor cools down is when I have this problem but as soon as it warms up the problem goes away. If I start it up and the A/C is on and when the clutch kicks in the motor boggs right down like it wants to stall and I quickly shut the A/C off and it comes back up to normal idle. If I let it run for 5 minutes and then turn the A/C on, it's ok. Any ideas to what might be causing this problem. It's like something is not working properly until it warms up a little.

No codes? Sounds like perhaps the temp sensor that tells it that it is a cold engine doesn't work. FI engines use cold enrichment instead of any choke like a carb. Engine off for only one hour though isn't really that cold so it's a little confusing with that. The A/C is just an unwanted load it can't handle when this is happening but should,

I don't have equipment to see what the codes would be. I have eeven seen it do this when the blazer has been sitting for just 20 minutes. I will get in it and i will press the peddle all the way down and if I hold it down all the way it will slowly increase speed and then after about 30 seconds it will come out of it and take right off full throttle. If it was a sensor were would this sensor be located ?.

I figured out what the problem was. I took the Mass air flow sensor out and looked inside and the four small wires were covered with dust. So I cleaned them off with some electrical spray cleaner and put it all back together and then I started it up and took it for a ride and the problem that I was having with no acceleration did not happen at all. I then let the motor cool down several times and it never happened agian.
