What led up to this? If engine is tight enough a good starter won't even turn it but will try till it burns it out trying ---- is that what happened to the first starter? Why do you suspect it's seized? Run way too hot or with no oil pressure? Fess up! Can you turn the engine by hand with socket on crankshaft bolt? The click thing is hard to translate totally without being there but it's likely this............ Single solid click - like a whack: Engine is frozen and too hard for starter. Single light click and all light sound (leave door open - look at dome light): Will usually mean a bad connection anywhere in the battery cables and on to starter thru solonoid. Machine gun fluttering sound: Battery amperage is too low - bad battery or low charge on a good one. Those will take a jump start most the time. Note: The force to turn an engine is incredible when normal. Starter motors really work hard and need to be VERY strong. It could bench test and spin and I don't know how to parlay that into its actual power to crank without installing it. If the engine was spinning freeley when it quit it's really not suspect now unless the starter is jammed up or installed wrong somehow - not really the common fault - bad starter could be or the other things mentioned. Make sure oil is full and oil pressure is reading properly. Most engines seize from lack of oil or can get stuck when a timing belt or chain completely breaks - I doubt that at the moment with the info so far. I'm not sure on Ford vehicles,but on GM vehicles I have seen where the Alternator locks up and won't let the engine turn over. If all checks out that Tom mentions..one thing to try would be to take off the serpentine drive belt and see if the engine turns over then. If so,check for something locked up.
