1998 gmc jimmy temp gauge drops then motor misses

1998 gmc jimmy with 4.3 liter motor and 160,000 miles starts and runs, after a while the temp gauge will drop, the rpm gauge will bounce, then it seems to be missing, or not getting fuel. However, no codes appear when it is plugged in to the diagnostic computer. originally started cruising down the highway at 64mph. Now getting worse and doing it after a stop sign, then restarting. Have added lucas injector cleaner, heet, etc. originally thought water in the gas.
