1998 Nissan 200sx remote control programming

I just got a new remote for my 1998 Nissan 200SX and I am trying to avoid going to the dealer and getting rapped on the price for them to program it. can anyone tell me how I can program it? I've tried a few different ways (that were for nissans in general, but weren't specific for my car) and they didn't work.
