I don’t think there is a precise method or procedure to get the door to open in this predicament. It all depends on what, who or where the mechanism is broken, come apart or seized?
All I can say is not to loose your patients and keep fiddling with it using the slim jim? I’ve had to go as far as removing the interior trim panel, to get to the latch, with the door still closed. That usually means some damage to the trim panel.
This is one of those types of jobs, where it’s kind of like search and rescue; you keep going until you get to where you want to be.

This is not a great diagram but maybe of some help?

Dan.

Pirate DEF NOT WORKING... we are trying everything there is a video on you tube that explains hiw ti drill soem hole to unlock the door... we tried using the hole you drill to on the passenger side we pot a metal rod in to the hole and it locked the door.. this is getting frustrating because it's supposed to unlock it.. if this sounds confusing this is the video we are following...

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/xHX6Up7HCfs&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/xHX6Up7HCfs&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Having patients is another thing you pay a technician for.
Before you drill anymore holes; maybe think about taking the car into your local repair facility?
Sorry but what else can I do or suggest; sitting here at a key board?

See that would be great.. but they want at least 80 dollars to even set eyes on the door.. they said total in repairs would be around 500 dollars to have a working door again.. They were rude to me on the phone.. I have now called Honda USA they said there isn't anything they can do.. I just feel like if there are so many problems with this same repetitive issue... why wouldnt there be a better solution.. Im sorry if I sound ruthless about this.. I have been sick for almost a month.. I just wanna be able to get to work and Im a bigger woman.. its a little difficult to climb across seats...
