The car worked fine for around 80k then the alternator quit. I've had it replaced 3 times now. It works ok for about 2-3 weeks then quits again. I've had the wiring replaced to & from the battery as well as to the starter. I've had the "mega fused" replaced as well. Anyone else had this problem?

Possibly just bad luck with rebuilts - really. More likely or at least possible you are working it too hard for some reason. If right away you keep putting a new one in and let the alternator charge up the probably dead battery you are abusing it.
Watch voltages and always work with a charged battery when another is replaced and speaking of which an intermittently bad battery rare can happen and really spike work for alternator. Test battery as best you can which can be inconclusive if older or a lurking short inside one.
If over about 4 years old with this abuse suspected going real low or dead I'd toss the battery for new just because,

Have you done any voltage checks when the alternator stopped charging to be sure the alternator has everything it needs to function?

Also make sure your battery tests good. A bad battery can cause alternators to die prematurely.
